I keep on hearing about Obama & Ayers. McCain has his own skeletons in his closet. Certainly we have heard about Keating but we haven't heard much about his friendship with G. Gordon Liddy.

I really doubt that Ayers and the rest would have helped him. My guess is that Obama is so ready for that to be brought up that he has a rejoinder that would destroy McCain with most independents.

what i am surprised most by is that mccain did not just blow off the rules and go live. Ask obama, on stage, if he is down with ending the restrictive format and actually taking questions from the crowd. I thought it really prevented McCain from showing life and taking charge, you cant get a rhythm with the way they set it up. The people in the room were uselss because they were not allowed to follow up or react or do anything. No one liked the set up and everyone new it was a farce so trying to blow it up and do something crazy like take actual questions might have been a big plus for McCain. Hell he could have just blown Brokaw off like palin did and went after obama. I really dont get the mccain camps thinking.
