He was robbed by Bush's nasty campaign in 2000 and he was ticked for two years. Then he made up with the idea that the right would support him after Bush. He played the good soldier. And surprisingly, he managed to win the GOP nomination despite others seemingly being ahead throughout the early going. So, he gets the GOP nomination and along comes this young uppity junior senator. Who the heck does he think he is? He didn't pay his dues!
