He makes me want to give to my country. He makes me want to compromise for the good of everyone. Obama makes me want to be a better American. McCain's only good thing is that he really is against redistributing wealth anymore than we already do. I just wish he'd be more honest when he says Obama wants to "raise your taxes". The "your" is rich people. Most people at McCain rallys would actually do BETTER under Obama's plan than their own candidates. That's the real kool-aid drinkin people. You know what really gives me hope about an Obama presidency? I have read countless comments and excerpts that say "watching Obama speak makes me want to do more with my life". I don't know anything that is more powerful than that. A great leader draws out the best in people and makes them better. Its a wonderful message. Its not about government help or about blaming someone for the crisis. Its about relying on ourselves and each other. Its about being responsible for our own destiny. This is the American spirit that the rest of the world so admires. This pragmatic flexibility and ability to execute is what I respect about this country. Amazing speech. I can't wait until Nov 4th. My ballot has been cast. I am sold. where do i pay.

You know what really gives me hope about an Obama presidency?

I have read countless comments and excerpts that say “watching Obama speak makes me want to do more with my life”.

I don’t know anything that is more powerful than that. A great leader draws out the best in people and makes them better.

Its a wonderful message. Its not about government help or about blaming someone for the crisis. Its about relying on ourselves and each other. Its about being responsible for our own destiny. This is the American spirit that the rest of the world so admires. This pragmatic flexibility and ability to execute is what I respect about this country.
