By spending the money to put that ad on TV, Obama was taking his own advice: not to rest on his laurels, not to count the chickens yet.

The most impressive thing about the pitch, besides what you mentioned, was not what he said but what he didn’t bother staying. That being anything about his opponent, John McCain. If McCain was doing this piece how much of it would’ve been spent on criticizing his opponents?

We all know the answer to that question, yet almost half of the American population would consider the kind of campaign that McCain has run as appropriate. And we wonder why we’re in troubling times. What’s more amazing is that the Republicans supporting McCain wonder why everybody else doesn’t get it! I wonder if they ever will?

Fancy shmancy infomercial, but could’ve used a “Bill Mays here…” introduction.

By the way, the only reason he had the $$$ to run the infomercial is because he broke a pledge to the American people on public financing limits.

John McCain kept his promise. Yes, honor maters when you run a campaign on Hope and Change.

I didn’t watch the ad myself, but I hope that’s true. Because if anything about the famlies or their stories turns out to be false, it’s likely to be discovered. And that wouldn’t be good news for Obama.

Ron Paul is not an expert on economics. He is a doctor who turned politician after he found an ideology that appealed to him. That particular form of economics is the only kind he’s ever studied and he has not one iota of actual education in the field or knowledge of economics except through the lens of his adopted economic viewpoint.
