Oy. Death, taxes and the voting record speech from mw. Do I assume correctly that you voted for W. in 2000, mw? 2004? It's amusing how many cons want to make the experience and record arguments when they speak to Obama's qualifications, but conveniently forget that W was easily outclassed in both regards by Gore and Kerry.

Justin, having watched Obama for years, he's either a sincere believer in the necessity of bipartisan cooperation or he's going to be collecting an Oscar in the next couple of years. He consistently refuses to bash the GOP. As always, it's both amusing and distressing to see the lengths to which an ideological skeptic will go to repudiate what their eyes and ears must actually be telling them.

"Folks, I’m telling you…this guy has always struck me as the genuine article when it comes to moderate, cooperative politics." - jg

I can't tell you what a relief it is hear that. I have complete confidence that your ability to watch him on TV and peer into his soul is much more indicative of what he will do as president than - you know - other indicators like his actual voting record. Because, as we all know - when a politician says one thing and does something else, we should always believe what he says - not what he does.
