LOL moment of Election Night '08: MSNBC just reported that the GOP made "robo-calls" to Cuban-American voters in Florida claiming that Fidel Castro had endorsed Barack Obama. Castro, in fact, had done no such thing (isn't he still deathly ill anyway?), and the target audience apparently didn't buy it. MSNBC also said exit polls showed that one-third of the formerly GOP-solid Cuban-American bloc voted for Obama.

Both networks now have called Iowa for Obama and Utah for McCain. Fox News mentioned that the McCain camp pretty much knows it's screwed now.

To President-elect Obama, I will now quote Admiral Cartwright from the Star Trek movies: "I don't know whether to congratulate you or not..."

MSNBC has also called Ohio for Obama. As of 9:40 ET both they and Fox News have Obama leading the EV count 200-90. With 55-EV and solidly blue California still to come.

Fox just called Ohio for Obama. MSNBC hasn't done so yet, but both networks think Florida and North Carolina are also slipping away from McCain.

I do believe leapsecond is right.

I've been posting updates from Fox and MSNBC on the other threads, but since this thread seems to be getting bumped frequently I'll just post them all here from now on.

Based on states that both channels have called, Obama leads the EV count 175-58. However no states have flipped for either candidate yet.

Doesn't look like McCain has any shot at all with Obama clinching Penn.

Though I know I shouldn't say it: this thing's over.
