The guy is slick. Although he’s not much of a lefty. He’s part of the pro-business New Democrats and a serious friend to Israel (his father is Israeli, I believe). He also voted for the Iraq War which, as we’ve learned, is only bad if you’re a Republican.

He has been the guy encouraging centrist Democrats to run, so that’s positive. But he’s a total Washington insider. Very much a “just win” kinda guy. He’ll definitely keep the well-oiled Obama machine running smoothly and won’t hesitate to put a boot on Republican’s (or other opponent’s) necks if that’s what it takes.

Not a “change” guy, that’s for sure. But he should be a solid manager of Obama’s staff, for what that’s worth

YES! That is the “Change”(TM) we’ve been hearing about….RAHM EMANUEL…a habital liar, bully, and chic-lefty Chi-town politico!! That is the audicity of hope. Yes we can! That is Change. Rahm Emanuel — this is great. I can feel the transcendency, the post-partisanship.

I think I have this one figured out thought. Don Tomczak and Tony Resko hatched this beauty late at night when the cell block was all quiet.
“Pst, Pst….Tony, I got this cat perfect for your boy. He’ll have his back.”

BTW, there is no greater city in the country than Chicago and no sleazier politics. Here comes change…good and hard.

Joe Scarborough was railing against Emanuel as COS, saying that his appointment is an example of old politics, and works against Obama’s message of unity. Can anyone flesh that out for me? I don’t undertand the aversion.
