Obama’s Team Talks About How They Did It
By Justin Gardner | Related entries in 2008 Election, Barack, History, VideoA lot of smart people in the following clip, but the thing that struck me about all of them is the lack of ego. But maybe that’s just my take.
Watch…
And I think it’s telling that the one time they didn’t follow through on something, reviewing all the Reverend Wright footage, that’s what bit them in the ass.
Cross your “T”s and dot your “I”s.
By the way, if you haven’t read Newsweek’s piece on the campaign, it’s a great addition to this. Hillary’s campaign was an dysfunctional mess, McCain’s wasn’t a whole lot better and Obama’s was a swiss watch. Sure, that doesn’t mean he’d be a better President, but if Obama can run his White House and his policy the way he ran his campaign, we just might be able to pull our economy out of this freefall quicker than expected.

Justin,
Agree about the ego thing; they do give off the air of respect for each other and especially respect for the guy in charge of the whole thing, that being Mr. Obama, of course.
What struck me more than anything, though, is the ease at which they spoke about how they started the whole thing, which made me believe that what they were describing was true. Why this was so impressive is because I’ve heard such damning conspiracy theories from my friends on the Right about how Obama is just the hand picked pawn of some great Left wing Chicago political machine. It’s one of the many negative things you hear them saying about the future president along with the liberal blight that he will unleash on the planet once he gets in office.
If they only spent 1/4 of their time and energy focusing their anger and condemnation on the people who’ve gotten us into this mess than maybe they wouldn’t be so fearful of the future. Oh well, the Repubs will have plenty of time to lick their wounds if that’s what they need to do to feel better about themselves.
