Valerie Jarrett For Illinois Senate?

Word is that Obama would like to see his longtime friend fill the remaining time in his Senate seat.

From CNN:

A prominent Democratic source close to Obama said Jarrett is also Obama’s choice to be named to take over his seat in the Senate, though Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich would have the final say over a replacement.

Jarrett would be the second African American woman to hold a Senate position, with the first being former Senator Carol Moseley Braun from the same state.

    I believe she was born in Iran so she’s an Arab American?

    If Iranis are also Arabs (they aren’t), and if her parents weren’t African-Americans (they were), then I suppose she’d be an Arab American–if her parents had anything to do with Arabia or Arabians, that is. (AFAIK, they didn’t.)

    If Valerie Jarrett last chance of getting Obama’s Senate seat is Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, well not any more…

    He has gotten caught red handed in the cookie jar but here is a surprise. Who does not know how corrupt the government is, please don’t all speak at once. Seriously, this guy is so bold but he must have some very powerful people behind him or is in the thick of it with him. My question is who threw him under the bus?

    So much for the rising star in Illinois.

    Based upon today’s news from Illinois we’ll probably see a simpleton-cripple-gay-hermaphrodite-INDEPENDENT appointed to the seat. That way some PARTY can put their own untainted simpleton-cripple-gay-hermaphrodite up for the seat.
