I think Justin is counting Obama’s Illinois State legislative experience. Which I don’t really think compares to US Congress and Governor. But it’s up for debate.

Obama
8 years State Senator
4 years US Senator

Jindal (in 2012)
3 years Congress
5 years Governor

Personally I hope he waits until 2016 because if Obama is doing well and the GOP is still dysfunctional it will be a slaughter. Even if Obama’s two terms are good people might be more willing to let the GOP have another shot at the presidency. Or it could will be like Bush senior where people just wanted more Reagan and he still won’t have much a shot. So I guess time will tell.

Also, his education as a Rhodes Scholar is pretty impressive, and being accepted into both Law and Medical school means that he took both the LSAT and MCAT. Those aren’t easy tests.

I think Jindal already has more experience overall than Obama. Look at his full resume. He already served in the house, but before that he was in an executive position as head of the Louisiana system. He has legislative experience, and will have even more executive experience once he finishes his first term as Governor.

Also, his education as a Rhodes Scholar and being accepted into both Law and Medical school means that he took both the LSAT and MCAT.

…although Obama had more legislative experience when he ran than Jindal will have in 2012.

I still don’t get when experience as a governor suddenly stopped counting. No, it’s not exactly legislative experience, but it is at least just as good if not better.
