		<description>Stron-arm tactics by unions in a card check election are a right-wing paranoid fantasy. AFAIK there has never been a time, in the enbtire history of mankind, where a union has bullied workers into joining. I know that&#039;s true in the US and Canada. Ontario actually had card check for years, and exactly zero cases of unions strong-arming unwilling workers.

There&#039;s a reason for that. Workers can get rid of a union they don&#039;t want whenever they fell like it. And union votes take place on private property. Go you really think the UAW can sneak dozens of toughs onto a major manufacturing plant, and not have trouble with armed security guards?

OTOH, it&#039;s SOP for employers to hire dozens of extra gaurds to watch the vote.</description>
