If you kept up with recent news, then you might have heard that the famous Nokia 3310 is making a comeback. Nokia will bring back everyone’s favorite phone in the early 2000s. The company has pulled this off through a partnership with their exclusive handset developer HMD, a Finnish establishment. However, the new Nokia 3310 isn’t an exact replica of the Nokia 3310 launched way back in the year 2000. There are some differences between the two, and they’re worth considering before making the decision to buy it. Keep reading to find out more.

What Was Changed?

First and foremost, Nokia update the design of the 3310, and the phone’s interface and outer shell sports a more modern look. It’s also slightly bigger and way thinner than its predecessor, and weighs considerably less. The new and revamped Nokia 3310 also has a basic 2MP rear camera that keeps up with the phone’s retro vibe. However, the original one didn’t have a camera at all, because it was launched during that time when camera phones still weren’t a thing.

In order to further fit in with the retro vibe, the new Nokia 3310’s connectivity is limited to 2G. Needless to say, there is no Wi-Fi support on it. However, it does have Bluetooth and SD-support as high as 32GB, and it also comes with a FM radio feature.

As for the amazing battery like the old Nokia 3310 was loved for, you’ll be glad to hear that the new version is even better. The 2017 Nokia 3310 sports a spectacular 1200 mAh removable battery with a capacity for 22 hours of talk time and 31 days of stand-by. Yes, this phone can go up to a month without needing to be charged if you don’t use it that often. That’s amazing.
