What on Earth could this man have to say that is relevant to the economy. At least he will be there to save us from becoming a worker's paradise.

I'm not sure the Republicans deserve to be listened to if they keep listening to people like this.

'sewer trap'... nice one gerryf!

As I questioned yesterday:

Why? Why is the GOP encouraging this guy? Seriously? My five-year-old son knows more about foreign policy and economic issues than JTP.

Furthermore, when will the media stop lending credence to what he has to say? What makes his voice stand out so much? Why does he make headlines?

Just for entertainment purposes, I think that the Democrats should bust out a mascot like JTP. They could even have a debate. Let's see...

Joe The Beatnik?
Joe The Arugula Farmer?
Joe The Move Producer?

But I guess this ties into a recent poll that revealed a majority of Republicans want their party to be more like Sarah Palin.

I like Sarah Palin too, but shouldn't the Republicans wait until they've had a chance to watch her actually campaign in earnest on her own behalf (assuming she even really wants to run in the first place, which I'm not totally convinced of) before anointing her as the GOP's new standardbearer? I must have said stuff to this effect a million times by now, on this blog and others, but it bears repeating once more: There's a world of difference between campaigning for two months as someone's running mate (in a campaign where events wound up rendering you a non-factor anyway, no less), and running your own presidential campaign for up to two years.

I thought we took a vote and decided no more Joe the Plumber stories--ever.

Let this guy climb backn into whatever sewer trap he came from so we never have to hear from him again (see, I worked in a plumbing reference).....on the other hand, if he really is consulting for the GOP we can pretty much right the Republicans off for the midterm elections....
