Their claim of conservatism is a farce, they abandoned the cause long ago. Since Reagan they have become the party big-corporations, big-government, warmongers, secrecy, and the military-industrial complex. In a word, they have become the Fascist Party. They use fear, religion, and false accusations of unamericanism or that old American fear: communism. They get their constituents so worked up over abortion, and gay marriage that they don't notice their rights gradually being taken away, as long as they think God's will is being followed, they are happy. Devices such as these are an Orwellian wet-dream for them, to have more power and surveillance of the people, to shred the constitution and create a more totalitarian government, and of course, for them to make more money.
