Hey, the marketplace has spoken. If people thought they got the best, unbiased reporting from newspapers, they wouldn’t be dying off.
It’s not too late; they can still take off their propaganda helmets, but that a decision they have to make.

In some instances, circulation is actually up.
Its the poor business model which didn’t adjust once the intarweb came around

Sure, Eric. The problem is that they’re going out of business because they’re selling too many newspapers.
The stock market was ‘up’ yesterday, too, so the crisis is averted, right?

Its Erik, not Eric.
And you’re ignoring the reality. Its not sales of papers causing papers to shut down.
Its ad revenue. Internet in general, craigslist, and in a lot of smaller papers its the car dealerships who no longer are putting as many ads in due to lack of sales of their products.
