A cranky Bass Harbor, Maine innkeeper once regaled me with a fireside tale of the secret upstate NY meetings of the Rockerfeller-led trilateral commission. I recall he also maintained that “the jews” in general were involved.

When I told him that I doubted all conspiracy theories on principle because I had never met a single person who could keep a secret, much less a hundred, the innkeeper had to struggle to hold down his left leg, which began to twitch violently. Other than that, he seemed like a nice guy.

True story.

Such folks don’t need books and TV shows, they need anti-psychotic medication. If only tinfoil really DID keep the radio signals from reaching the transmitters in our heads, huh? :-)
