The GOP has a component of angry base that reluctantly semi-supported a candidate it thought was a poor choice, and he got his clock cleaned. These folks are determined to take a purifying jaunt in the wilderness to cleanse the party of the corrrupting influence of moderates. Steele has no answer for this. Likely, it simply must be let to run its course.
