Just one minor thing about the Clinton era being officially over: McAuliffe was one of WJC’s political henchmen who tried to run on his own and lost. Meanwhile, MRS. Clinton is Secretary of State. So which is more important to that “era”?

Never been a big Terry McAuliffe anyway. I’m glad the good people of Virginia voted him out.

Virginians didn’t want him. Deeds at least has a chance to win.

Deeds was the most conservative of the three and that should help him in the general election. Though, he has already lost one race to McDonnell, better name recognition should help this time. It will be a fairly close race and will likely come down to if the more liberal voter even bothers to come out and vote.
