Quote Of The Day

“The mother lode of all data information will be from the Census. … Unfortunately, the Census data has become very intricate, very personal, a lot of the questions that are asked. I know for my family, the only question we will be answering is how many people are in our home. We won’t be answering any information beyond that, because the Constitution doesn’t require any information beyond that.”
-Michigan Minnesota Representative Michele Bachmann, commenting on her fear that (wait for it) ACORN is highly involved in the U.S. Census Bureau’s collection of information.

The sad irony is that what Ms. Bachmann is planning to do is a crime, punishable by up to a $5,000.00 fine.

Bachman os a clown and has no business in national politics. However, your post states she is a representative of Michigan which is wrong, she represents the 6th Congressional District of Minnesotta.

Yeah you messed up your M states :P

I’m no lawyer, but I don’t think that fine would stand up too well in court. Better than even chance that a judge would declare anything beyond “counting people” as optional. Is there any precedent out there that indicates otherwise?

Yes, Michigan did not elect this nutjob, thank god.
