Sanford shows the signs of Imposter Syndrome combined with classic mid-life crisis. He knows he should leave office, but to resign would be too active a move for him. Time to move on, Mr. Sanford. Pols screwing around is nothing new, and it always leaves a bad taste. It's not the hypocrisy, as some would say to excuse the philandrers of their own side.
