The Bush name is so poisened right now that I cannot imagine another being elected president...I dare say it's nearly impossible for anyone with a name closely resembling anything from the plant family to get elected president for the foreseeable future

Any Republican who believes that they can beat President Obama in 2012 is, by definition, not smart enough to be president.

The Republicans should think outside the box and not waste any resources running someone in an election they have zero chance of winning.

Honestly, I'd love to see Jeb in the race b/c I think he's much more like his dad than Dubya was. And that wouldn't be a bad thing. I might even think about voting for that guy, but he'd probably hew much closer to the religious right b/c that's how this game works right now and it would ultimately turn me off.

Still, the Bush name is radioactive at this point and he won't be viable until 2016 (if Obama wins 2012) or 2020 (if a Dem wins, but loses his/her 1st term).

We shall see. :-)

I was kind of surprised he didn't find a way into 2008. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him in 2012. He's head and shoulders above the existing GOP field.

He says, demonstrating the meaning of, "damning with faint praise."
