One comment I do want to make: saying that we want to give a better life to our children is not fear-mongering, or rather if that's your definition of fear-mongering it's so broad as to be meaningless. And that was the plain meaning of Joe Biden's point, which was the opposite of hard ball I might add. It is <i>certainly</i> not in the same galaxy of fear-mongering as, say, "death panels" and the like. If this is your example of the Obama administration giving up on bipartisanship and engaging in fear-mongering, then you have a real, real, real, real low bar. I don't understand how one can look at the health care debate currently raging, the entire national conversation, then narrow down to a comment <i>Joe Biden</i> made at a congressional fundraiser in Illinois remarking that health care reform is important for our children, and declare <i>that</i> to be the problem.
