Since when are campaign promises ever respected? I'm still waiting for bush to be a compassionate conservative. I would guess that the 100,000 dead iraqis aren't feeling it.

The "war" with fox was just the WH running interference. While fox was obsessing over that subject, they left the other talking points alone, essentially distracting their viewers.

KK - you haven't been paying attention.

http://www.time.com/time/business/article/0,8599,1910208,00.html

"Back in early January, when Barack Obama was still President-elect, two of his chief economic advisers — leading proponents of a stimulus bill — predicted that the passage of a large economic-aid package would boost the economy and keep the unemployment rate below 8%."

Later, they revised the prediction to 8.5% and 8.6%. Obama himself has said the stimulus would work "immediately", save "3 - 4 million jobs", etc. See http://www.youtube.com/v/s2MjQ17kDng for an edited video splicing together several of the President's promises. The media, all snugly in his pocket, doesn't call him on these lies, but the advent of social media means they can't sweep them under the rug.
