In short, if Beck is the voice of libertarianism/conservatism…you all need to find a better messenger…and soon.

I for one don’t recognize Beck as the voice of either. Glenn Beck is to political philosophy as Hannah Montana is to serious art. The folks who watch Beck raptly are very analogous to 12 year old girls who faint at the sight of a Tiger Beat hunk singing at the mall.

Of course it’s troublesome that an insincere, schticky provocateur has bamboozled so many Americans that are terrified about the future in the wake of the 2008 economic collapse. Sadly, many of these folks believe that Glenn Beck has actual insight. He doesn’t. Remember, if someone is saying something that has been said over and over for years, has an element of truth to it, and most folks don’t disagree with that element of truth, that’s NOT insight. It’s just a truism or aphorism or folksy wisdom.

All Beck really has to offer is tired slogans that are gross oversimplifications or mischaracterizations of the problems America faces. Not new useful insight we can use to fix the specific challenges we face. Beck has developed his audience by giving frightened Americans permission to blame all their problems on everybody else. We won’t get around to fixing America’sproblems until we stop blamestorming and start blame-sharing. OR at least responsibility-sharing.

Glenn Beck and those who spew separatism and masquerade it as Patriotism are in fact the doo doo on the shoe sole of society and we should really consider throwing those shoes in the garbage and buy a new pair.

That and Glenn Beck runs like a girl.

I wasnt particularly pleased with Stewarts’ metaphor in the beard resemblance or facial hair relation to Christ and the comparison to the Ayatollah Kumani, Hitler etc….because he conveniently forgot to put a picture of a Orthodox or Hasidic jew up their as well. -Because John they too have facial hair.

HOWEVER!

Thank you John Stewart for ridiculing Glenn Beck. Its sad that in today’s day of knowledge, there are still people so desperate to feel a need to hold on to hate that they would not only listen to what Glenn Beck and those like him try to manipulate others into thinking; but take it so serious into their life that they would rather hold back or destroy our nation from within in order to see their “ideals” go forward.

PS: John Stewart sucks at basketball and has no ball control game.

I say that Beck is either an idiot or a liar. I’m hoping for the latter because I would find it disturbing to have an idiot be that successful. If he wants to look for the communist conspiracy, maybe he should look straight up at his boss, who runs the Chinese media. That and saying that progressivism leads to communism is freakin retarded.
