Obama actually gains a net 3 today, with McCain losing 2 and him gaining 1. Obviously this race remains incredibly tight as we head towards the most important speech of Obama’s career on Thursday.

McCain edges up one and this is significant since he hasn’t really been above the 45% mark for a while in the “with leaners” numbers. So now this is two straight days, which could position him well for sustaining any type of bump he gets [...]

And so the tables have turned, at least for today. Of note, Obama hasn’t been at 44% for a LONG time. In fact, the last time was before he secured the nomination back in early June. The same goes for McCain, who hasn’t reached 46% since the same time period.
