Design

Samsung’s Galaxy A7 is truly one of the best looking mid-range smartphones you can find.

Its back 3D curved glass has a striking look and also a very seamless and uniform one. It’s clear that the inspiration for such design is the Galaxy S7, Samsung’s 2016 flagship. The two devices are very similar and either one is a great choice.

Galaxy A7 cannot fight OnePlus 3T in pure specs, but it makes up in the features area: waterproofing, microSD card support and Always on display.

Galaxy S7 features 16 MP cameras, a 5.7-inch full HD sAMOLED display, a fast and very accurate fingerprint scanner, a battery of 3,600 mAh. Its Ultra data saving, S Bike mode, and S power planning are also great features.

With its all-glass front and metal unibody, the OnePlus 3T is also incredibly premium and the Matt Black recently introduced version offers the device quite a sleek appearance.

Hardware

OnePlus 3T wins this battle with its 6 GB of RAM, and the high-end Snapdragon 821 processor. The Galaxy A7 features only 3 GB of RAM and is works on Exynos 7880 Soc. The OnePlus 3T is definitely the faster device, handling multitasking, games and intensive use with greater ease.

A7’s battery, on the other hand, is bigger 3,600 mAh than the one of OnePlus 3T – 3,400 mAh.

A7’s display has punchier colors, therefore, fans of realistic and neutral displays should stick with OnePlus 3T.

Cameras

The Galaxy A7 comes with a rear camera of 16 MP and an aperture of f/1.0, a LED flash and autofocus. The front camera is a 16 MP with the same aperture of f/1.9.

The OnePlus 3T comes with a rear 16 MP camera with an aperture of f/2.0, a Sony IMX 298 sensor and PDAF autofocus, and the front camera also has 16 MP and an aperture of f/1.0.

Both phones are incredibly well built in the camera department.

Software

The stock Android fans will choose the OnePlus 3T over Samsung’s Galaxy A7, but the latter runs on Samsung’s heavy TouchWiz UI.

It’s very difficult to pick a winner but we’ll give you our conclusion: OnePlus 3T is the choice for users who are interested in the best specs and performance at an affordable price, and Galaxy A7 is perfect for users who need a better package overall, waterproofing, microSD support and a bigger battery.
