MoveOn Needs To Move On

By Justin Gardner | Related entries in Partisan Hacks

Good job left-wingers.
By questioning the messenger and trying to discredit him before he had even delivered the message, you actually gave him more credibility in the eyes of nearly everybody who doesn’t share your far left views…that being 75% of the electorate.
See, they don’t like name calling, and they trust the military to give them [...]

Why Isn’t Ron Paul Taken More Seriously?

By Justin Gardner | Related entries in 2008 Election, Media, Partisan Hacks, Ron Paul

This is a question I’ve been asking myself lately, especially after he won yet another post-debate poll yesterday.
Seriously, it’s puzzling as to why the public or pundits aren’t taking Paul more seriously. Is it because he doesn’t fit into the mold of what a “conservative” is supposed to be anymore? Is it because his [...]

Last thoughts on Dem debate.

By mw | Related entries in 2008 Election, Blogging, Elections, In The News, Partisan Hacks

Biden was best, again.Richardson exceeded low expectations. Obama fell short of high expectations. Edwards fell short of low expectations. Kucinich met zero expectations. That other guy has white hair. Mike Gravel’s shtick is not as entertaining as YouTube videos. YouTube questions were better and more entertaining than Britt Hume. YouTube questions were not that entertaining. It is Hillary Clinton’s nomination to lose. She didn’t lose it Monday night. Chuck Hagel is the GOP’s only hope. The GOP has no hope. None.

Controlling The Messenger

By Justin Gardner | Related entries in Health Care, History, Partisan Hacks

As much as I don’t agree with it, I can understand politicizing the hiring and firing of US attorneys.
However, politicizing the Surgeon General? And turning him into a partisan hack?
From the AP:
WASHINGTON - President Bush’s most recent surgeon general accused the administration Tuesday of muzzling him for political reasons on hot-button health issues such as [...]

Punishing Prevaricating Politicians & Parsing Partisan Perspectives

By mw | Related entries in Bad Decisions, Law, Partisan Hacks

I would have preferred to see Libby do some time, but fully expected to see him pardoned before Bush left office. On balance, I am not going to cry out in lamentations or rend my garments over this outcome.

Coulter has an agenda, she writes in the service of that agenda to entertain and sway opinion to her objective. In that regard, she is one of the top tier of propagandists working in the in political cotton field, harvesting the hearts and minds of the American electorate.

Could Michael Moore Screw Universal Healthcare?

By Justin Gardner | Related entries in Health Care, Partisan Hacks, The Politics Of Film

As you all well know, Sicko is coming out soon and I’m holding my breath in fear. Why?
Well, of course I sympathize with the notion that things need to change since so many Americans live without healthcare and are one hospital visit away from financial ruin. And as I’ve said on this blog [...]

Looking Glass Liars

If a high-ranking official lies under oath, you take that official to the wall. No one is above the law. No one has the option of lying under oath without paying the consequences.

Quote Of The Day

By Justin Gardner | Related entries in General Politics, Partisan Hacks, The War On Terrorism

“At the end of the day, I believe fully the president is doing the right thing, and I think all we need is some attacks on American soil like we had on [Sept. 11, 2001], and the naysayers will come around very quickly to appreciate not only the commitment for President Bush, but the sacrifice [...]

O’Reilly, McCain And The “White, Christian, Male Power Structure”

By Justin Gardner | Related entries in Immigration, Partisan Hacks

On immigration, Bill O’Reilly asks John McCain…”But do you understand what the New York Times wants, and the far-left want? They want to break down the white, Christian, male power structure, which you’re a part, and so am I, and they want to bring in millions of foreign nationals to basically break down the structure [...]

Who Is Baking The Immigration Cake?

By Daniel DiRito | Related entries in 2008 Election, Elections, General Politics, Immigration, In The News, Partisan Hacks, Polls, Social Programs

I’ve yet to comment on the recent immigration debate, though I have previously shared my thoughts on the topic at Thought Theater. Having recently spent some time ruminating on the relevant issues, along with today’s reading of George Will’s latest commentary, I’m ready to take another swipe at the subject.
There seems to be a [...]

Big day tomorrow

By Sean Aqui | Related entries in Iraq, Law, Military, Money, News, Partisan Hacks, The War On Terrorism

Wednesday should have a lot of fireworks, thanks to several big items all landing at the same time:
Looking for Ms. Goodling
An immunized Monica Goodling testifies before the Senate about the prosecutor firings. Source have indicated her testimony won’t implicate Alberto Gonzales, but then that’s what they said about Kyle Sampson — and his testimony turned [...]

End State: The face of “Victory in Iraq”

By mw | Related entries in Iraq, Military, News, Partisan Hacks, The War On Terrorism

The good news is that we have entered the “End Game of our military involvement in Iraq. The bad news is that the man making the closing moves on the chessboard is Moqtada al-Sadr, likely future leader of Iraq, and the face of “Victory in Iraq as defined by United States policy.

McDermott loses again

By Sean Aqui | Related entries in General Politics, Law, News, Partisan Hacks

Rep. James McDermott lost another round in the legal battle over his leaking an illegally obtained tape of GOP leaders 10 years ago.
In a 5-4 opinion, the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia ruled that McDermott, D-Seattle, should not have given reporters access to the taped call….
The ruling upholds a previous [...]

New York Post Gets Caught

By Justin Gardner | Related entries in Media, Partisan Hacks

It’s pretty remarkable actually. They rewrote a story from the AP wires to make it into a hit piece on the Dems…BUT they kept the author’s name on it!
Awesome.

Liberalism: The Root Of Current Evil?

By Justin Gardner | Related entries in Guns and Ammo, Partisan Hacks

*sigh*
So, the meme that a couple on the right are trying to start after the tragedy at VTech is “Did a liberal college education enable, encourage and inform Cho’s psychotic rage?” I would hope that any rational person would agree that Cho was A) mentally unstable and therefore should have B) been heavily medicated or [...]

Sharpton’s Racist Comments

By Justin Gardner | Related entries in Partisan Hacks, Race, Religion

If he has such a problem with Imus, why is he using the verb “jewing” to describe something as being dishonest and shady?
That’s highly offensive as well, no? He has a radio show too, yes?
Fair is fair. If Imus went, then Sharpton should go too.
Watch the clip and tell me what you think.

White House e-mails deleted

By Sean Aqui | Related entries in General Politics, News, Partisan Hacks

You know that brewing scandal over White House use of RNC e-mail addresses?
Well, it just got a lot, lot bigger:
Countless e-mails to and from many key White House staffers have been deleted — lost to history and placed out of reach of congressional subpoenas — due to a brazen violation of internal White House policy [...]

Imus, Bias, Devils, & Heaven

By Daniel DiRito | Related entries in Corporate Business, In The News, Media, Partisan Hacks, Race, Religion

I’ve never been a Don Imus devotee. In fact, I can’t recall the last time I listened to any portion of his show. I’ve never met the man and I know next to nothing about his character or his motivations other than what I’ve garnered during this rancor over his racially charged remarks.
So what [...]
