Janet Jackson Says “No Secret Daughter”

“I do not have a child and all allegations saying so are false,” Jackson said in a statement released to the syndicated TV show “Access Hollywood.” A call to Jackson’s publicist wasn’t immediately returned.

On Friday, Young DeBarge, the brother of Jackson’s ex-husband, James DeBarge, told New York radio station WGHT that Jackson and his brother had a child named Renee that was living with Rebbie Jackson, Janet’s oldest sister.

This did seem a little bit too weird to be true, but you never know with the Jackson family. However, does it strike anybody else as even more odd that somebody would actually say Jackson had a daughter when she actually didn’t?

Ahh…celebrity…

I find it very much strange that one who is related to the party involved as the “uncle and brother”, to not have any truth or knowledge about this issue. Surely he’d have to know the repercussion invloved by divulging such information considered untrue or “silent”. Janet has shown a propensity to keep hidden aspects of her relations as a celebrity in the public image hidden. This a choice in her right to privacy to do so, but why would one hide the facts of being a parent to a child? Is it to protect the childs well being or their own? Some celebrities over the years have went through great lengths to hide the fact of certain indiscretions in their careers. Even hiding the fact the child may have certain “physical and mental” challenges that they’d want hidden from the public. If this story has any merit in truth, it’s a sad testiment to celebrities penchant for fame and recognition. To then only ask to be “saved” from it later. I hope this is a false statement for Janets sake cause to hide such thing is a blight on her as a celebrity, and a woman.
