OnePlus 5 Leak Reveals Latest Details

If you try to keep up more or less with tech news, then you might have heard about the upcoming launch of the OnePlus 5 smartphone produced in China. Although the phone is actually the fourth installment in the series, the number 4 is notoriously unlucky in Chinese culture, therefore the company has decided to skip it altogether when it came to naming the product.

And now, further information has leaked about the OnePlus 5 and its specs, and the new leak concerns the phone’s camera. The OnePlus 5 seems to shape up to be an adversary worthy of even the iPhone 7S, and the fact that now it’s supposed to have a dual camera is further proof of that fact.

The leak actually consisted of some photos taken with the OnePlus 5. Experts quickly took to analyzing the photos, and have established that the camera used to take them is one comparable to the iPhone’s dual camera. Therefore, the OnePlus 5 is expected to have a dual camera with high-quality properties, which means that the photos it takes are spectacularly clear and true to color. Yay!

However, the sample images, while valuable for analysis, are very bad in terms of overall photo quality. The camera work is poor, but we need to remember that the photos were most likely taken in a hurry for a quick test run, and not intended to be artistic or impressive in any way. The unfortunate aspect of this is that this also means that the camera’s true abilities are hidden away, and we’ll just have to wait for the actual launch to see what it can do when handled correctly.
