Nexus 6P Gets the Latest Stable Android Nougat Update with New Fixes

Google has just started to roll out the stable version of the Android 7.1.2 update for the Nexus 6P smartphone. More precisely, if you are enrolled in the Beta program, then you should receive it soon. The latest update wears the build number N2G47H and it weighs almost 26 MB.

Rolling It Out

According to Android Police, the new update targets the Nexus 6P users that are already enrolled in the special beta program and who had installed the beta build. Finally, now they can enjoy the stable final build. You can find the OTA file (over-the-air) on the Google servers, if you are too anxious to wait until the update officially reaches you.

For now there is no other information whether Google will release the update for other devices that are included in the beta program. You also have to know that the latest update for the Android 7.1.2 includes the April security patch for the operating system.

What Does the Update Bring New?

The Android update was released previously this month for the Pixel and Nexus phones. Pixel users were really happy, since the tech giant solved the issue with the early shutdown, together with the pink banding that appeared on camera. Moreover, they also fixed the audio popping issue which caused some users to hear at high volume. Needless to say, it brought lots of bug fixes and other updates. Some of the new features that everybody loved until now at the Android 7.1.2 Nougat are the improved fingerprint swipe gesture, the battery usage alerts (which are really useful) and some improvements in the Bluetooth connectivity.

For the Nexus devices though, the update brings more stable notifications, a new fingerprint swipe on Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, plus the same new battery usage alerts and improvements in the general connectivity.
