Samsung Galaxy A3 vs. Nexus 5X – What To Choose?
You’d think that Samsung and Apple are the leading names in the smartphone market nowadays, and while that might be true to some extent, there are also other companies worth including in the top of the line in this category. For example, Google’s Nexus devices have been warmly received by customers across the globe, and have now become a worthy opponent of Samsung and their mid-range smartphones.
The year 2016 saw the successful releases of both the Nexus 5X and the Samsung Galaxy A3. On top of that, the two phones fall into the same category. So, which one is better? Which one should you choose? Keep reading to find out.
Display, CPU and RAM
The main three features to distinguish between the Google Nexus 5X and the Samsung Galaxy A3 are their display, their CPU and their RAM. In terms of display, the Nexus 5X is the winner here, with a 5.2 inch IPS LCD panel with a pixel resolution of 1080 x 1920, as well as a higher pixel density of 423 ppi. The Galaxy A3 fails to impress with its meek 4.7 Super AMOLED display with 720 x 1280 resolution and density of 312.
The Nexus 5X is also the winner when it comes to CPU and RAM, with its Qualcomm hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor running at 1.8 GHz on 2GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy A3 sports a modest quad-core Exynos 7578 chipset running at 1.5 GHz on only 1.5GB of RAM. Thus, the Google Nexus 5X wins on all fronts, and is the obvious choice between the two.
However, you still need to consider your priorities and necessities and choose what’s best for you and what makes you happy. These comparisons are merely here for reference.
