As the number of smartphone owners continue to rise, so will the number of apps. A search on the Play Store for a messaging app will yield results of similarly named apps. Into this “mess” are GBWhatsApp and WhatsApp Plus, only that they can’t be found on the Play Store – they need to be downloaded as APKs. Despite the similar names and function, they are different apps.

Similarities
Both GBWhatsApp and WhatsApp Plus are messaging apps for Android devices. They are both not found on the Google Play Store, meaning the process of downloading and installing them on your phone is a bit different. In terms of cost, both apps are provided free of charge.
Differences
GBWhatsApp allows owners of dual-SIM smartphones to use both numbers using just one app. Other phone models such as Xiaomi, Honor, Vivo, and Oppo use app cloning to create another version of WhatsApp.
WhatsApp Plus
WhatsApp Plus, on the other hand, is like WhatsApp but with extra features. The app allows you to use custom themes and change the UI’s look. Another interesting function is that it can hide things such as Last Seen, Blue Tick, Second Tick, Online Status, Hide Recording, and Hide Typing for Groups. The app also has a security measure in place in the form of an in-built lock where a password can be set to protect Chats from those who will use your phone.
The WhatsApp Connection
GBWhatsApp and WhatsApp Plus clearly have connections to WhatsApp, apart from the name. They more or less function along the same lines, each offering features that appeal to different segments. If you have a dual-SIM phone, GBWhatsApp looks like a more attractive option. On the other hand, if you prefer flexible customization options then WhatsApp Plus is the app for you.
