More On Losing WoT
By Justin Gardner | Related entries in The War On TerrorismSully explains why the numbers of terrorists have climbed.
We have picked a fight with an enemy - on his own turf, with just enough resources to lose and just enough to stir Muslim resentment to create even more terrorists. It has none of the advantages of offense; and none of defense. And we have a president insisting that he won’t budge.
That’s the thing. People can talk all they want about how we need to support our President and his policies, but the numbers tell us that this administration’s foreign policy is not working. At least in the last six years.
So I don’t know about you, but I’m going to be looking for unique ideas in the coming year from the Presidential candidates. We need a new strategy. One that’s smart, nimble and effective. I happen to think this is a hearts and minds “war”, one that will be fought silently on thousands of fronts that nobody ever really hears anything about. No invading countries, no liberating millions of people. Just continuous surgical strikes that wipe out a few bad guys at a time…while our leaders enact policy that truly secure our borders, round up all the stray nukes and engage in diplomacy with those who have nuclear capabilities.
