African Americans More Favorable Towards Clinton

By 9% over Obama according to a recent poll.

Six weeks out from the first round of presidential voting, Hillary Rodham Clinton gets better reviews than Barack Obama among African-American voters, a crucial voting bloc in Democratic politics, a new poll shows.The survey of 750 African-Americans, conducted from Oct. 5 to Nov. 2, and released Tuesday found that the senator from New York was rated favorably by 83 percent of respondents, while 10 percent perceived her negatively.
Obama, meanwhile, garnered favorable ratings from 74 percent of blacks, with 10 percent viewing him negatively.
Honestly, I think this has a lot to do with Bill Clinton. Because the Edwards is only getting a 45% favorability rating, and if Hillary was just some random Senator her numbers wouldn’t be similar to Edwards.
On the other hand, Obama’s campaign can’t say that America doesn’t know him yet because he’s been everywhere. So why the discrepancy?
Maybe this is why he’s getting Oprah to come along with him on the campaign trail. That will hopefully push up his favorability with African Americans, while at the same time siphon some of the female support that Hillary has a pretty good lock on right now.
