Yes, after 9/11 things changed, but the difference is striking between the McCain of then and the McCain of now.

I just heard McCain claim that Reagan cut spending. Poor old John, he really is delusional.

Well, Haiti… come on, I don’t remember any Hatians trying to kill Americans in devastating terror attacks in the name of Voodoo.

Regarding Somalia, upon the urging of senetors like MCain, we did ‘change direction’ and pulled out of an Al-qaeda stronghold prematurely, with our tails between our legs. Read the Democrats’ beloved 9/11 commission report to recall how that story ends.

Somalia proves that withdrawing from the fight simply because you cannot stomach the sacrifices of your soldiers does not deter terrorists from attacking your homeland in the future.
