Hillary’s “It’s 3 a.m. And Your Children Are Safe And Asleep” Ad
By Justin Gardner | Related entries in 2008 Election, Barack, Hillary, The War On Terrorism, VideoShe’s actually playing on parents’ fears of children dying to win votes. Unbelievable.
I mean, on one had it’s sad she’s resorting to Rovian tactics, but I’m not surprised given the type of campaign she has run. This is par for course at this point.
TPM also sums up why this ad is a bad idea for a Democrat to run:
Should Barack Obama ultimately win the Democratic nomination, it’s hard not to picture John McCain’s campaign running an ad very much like this one.
In any event, my answer to the question “Who do you want answering the phone?” is “Not Hillary.”
UPDATE:
Here’s Obama’s response:
Again, not a good day for Hillary.
UPDATE:
And here’s the response ad from Obama, which will probably make Clinton and company sorry they ever ran their ad in the first place.
Something tells me this guy would do well against the Republican Noise Machineâ„¢.

I think the problem here is that my answer is “John McCain,” not HIllary. And I should say that I’m an Obama voter.

Hillary wears pearls and and a pantsuit to bed?
Or does she just not sleep?
I understand your point Justin. Any ad that could be interpreted to imply that Clinton might be a better president than Obama – in any capacity whatsoever, is completely unacceptable and out of bounds.

She wears a pantsuit made out of pearls to bed. Kinda works like one of those beaded seat cover thingies.
