Evan Bayh And Tim Kaine Are Out Of Veepstakes

EMPORIA, Va - Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh and Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine have been told by Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s campaign they will not be his vice presidential choice, NBC News reported on Friday, quoting sources.Speculation about Obama’s choice has centered on Bayh, Kaine and Delaware Sen. Joseph Biden. Other names in the mix include Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, New York Sen. Hillary Clinton, New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson and Texas Rep. Chet Edwards.
Who else think Biden’s stock just rose tenfold? Because I just can’t see Sebelius or Hillary getting the nod at this point. And beyond Biden, who else is there? Nunn? Please…not a chance.
More as it develops…

And just as I saw this headline, my husband was saying how if Obama picks Biden, it will show he’s embracing same old, same old, politics as usual. I agree. I really, really hope it’s not Biden.

JOHN EDWARDS–SEX ADDICT?
David Duchovny has courageously admitted to being an addict–a sex addict–and has admitted himself into rehab in hopes of overcoming his problem: http://news.aol.com/health/article/is-sex-addiction-real/154267?icid=200100397×1208629531×1200492182.
Since this is a (relatively) family-friendly website, we won’t explore all the ramifications of that admission, although many seem to question whether it qualifies as an addiction or is “a narcissistic indulgence” or a reflection of an OCD disorder.
I would question why anyone would go public with such an admission. If a person, male or female, believes he or she suffers from “sex addiction,” would it not be more prudent to downplay the sickness and if you thought you needed treatment for it would you not be better off entering rehab without fanfare and announcing it to the universe?
Unless, of course, it’s all a cheap publicity stunt for free advertising for Duchovny’s Showtime series, the classily-titled “Californication,” in which he just happens to play a sex-crazed guy
Duchovny is married, for 11 years, to actress Tea Leoni and they have two children.
Someone else who is married with children is Senator John Edwards, …
