Moto G4 Play Will Get Android 7.0 Nougat in June

If you keep up with smartphone launches, then you might remember that Moto G4 Play launched last August, and it ran on Android 6.1 Marshmallow initially. Well, Lenovo seems to want its devices to be up to date as far as operating systems are concerned. Thus, the company has announced that the Moto G4 Play will be receiving the new Android 7.0 Nougat Update starting in June of this year.

Moto G4 and G4 Plus Already Got It

Needless to say, many users were delighted by the news. However, the information was anything but a surprise, especially considering that the device’s predecessors, the Moto G4 and G4 Plus have already received Android 7.0 Nougat. Thus, execs over at Lenovo decided to confirm that indeed, the update shall come to Moto G4 Play soon enough.

The G4 series hasn’t been the only Lenovo device line to be blessed with the Android update. As you might well remember, a few days ago Lenovo also confirmed that Android 7.1 Nougat is coming to the Moto Z Play. The upgrade in OS is expected to bring many improvements in these devices’ overall functioning. Moto user experience has never looked better.

The Moto G4 Play launched in India in September of last year, and it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset and 2GB of RAM. It has 16 HB internal storage, and SD-support up to 128 GB if you want it to. The Moto G4 Play is powered by a 2800 mAh battery and has excellent connectivity options. All in all, it’s a pretty good smartphone, especially if you also consider its price. Thus, the upgrade in operating system can be nothing but good news. We can’t wait to see what Android 7.0 Nougat brings to the Moto G4 Play.
