Moto G4 Play, Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus Gets Android Oreo
Android 8.0 Oreo has been released and Google’s devices are already using the new OS. The Pixel and Nexus line are no longer the only smartphones to use Android Oreo because Motorola has just announced that it will use the new OS for some of its devices.
The list of Motorola Android smartphones
The devices which will get the Android Oreo OS are the Moto G4 Play, Moto G4 and the Moto G4 Plus. These devices were all released last year and they used Android Marshmallow and Nougat so far.
Moto G4
This smartphone made by Motorola Mobility is the third generation Moto G and was first released in Brazil and India in May, 2016. The device has a 5.5-inch display (1080p) and inside it is packed with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 and 2/3 GB of RAM. It has 16 or 32 GB of internal storage and it can be expanded up to 128 GB via MicroSD card.
The phone comes in black and white and it used Moto Actions. The latter is a feature which supports and responds to motions and gestures. Moto G4 has two cameras: the frontal one is a 5-megapixel one and the rear-facing one is a 13-megapixel camera.
Moto G4 Play and Moto G4 Plus
The device also comes in two other models. The Moto G4 Plus is a cheaper variant which comes with a lower-end camera and a lower screen resolution. Moto G4 Plus is a premium model, featuring a fingerprint sensor on the front. The device also has a 16-megapixel rear camera with infrared phase-detection autofocus. It also has 4 GB of RAM and up to 64 GB of internal storage.
Moto G4 has a refreshed hardware with a water repellent and nano-coating hardware, but it does not have an IPX7 certification.
