Don’t Panic! Here’s How to Fix that Disabled iPhone
Apple’s products are considered top-of-the-line because they are built with a host of great features. Your iPhone comes with security features that make it almost impossible to access when the device is locked. It’s also equipped with a software that makes it easy to trace if it should go missing. Fingerprint reader and facial recognition are convenient. However, there are those that still prefer to use passcodes to secure their mobile phones. The problem with a passcode is you might forget it. And too many incorrect attempts can lead to your iPhone getting disabled.

Error Message
When an iPhone is disabled, you will get an error message. Usually, it’s the standard “This iPhone is Disabled” type of message. In some cases though, the messages can be a bit more creative and be terrifying like this. Via iTunes
If you’ve synced your devices via iTunes, you can use it to restore your iPhone. This will erase the device and its passcode. To do that, connect your iOS device to the computer you sync it to. Click the Restore button on iTunes and follow the onscreen instructions. Your device should be usable again.
Via Recovery Mode
Now, if your iPhone isn’t synced you can restore the device through recovery mode. You’ll find the step-by-step guide to both of these fixes on this Apple Support page.
My iPhone’s fixed, now what?
For starters, you should set a new passcode. One that’s strong but is easier for you to remember. Or you can just opt to take advantage of Facial ID or Touch ID to minimize the hassle. Make sure you’re updating to the latest iOS software so those security features are always on point.
