Gigabyte Radeon RX 500 Series Come With Better Performance
The AMD Radeon RX 500 series should have been release in a couple of days for now, but from what it seems, there have been some leaks about the GPUs. We can’t say we’re terribly unhappy about this, since we got to find out more about the products.
But what products are there exactly in this series?
High end
The top of the line shows us the Gigabyte Radeon RX 580 Aorus XTR 8G. It is the GPU that is intended to replace the RX 480 GPU model, so it’s a refresh. As such, you shouldn’t expect it to be a major performance upgrade.
At the same time, there is also another non-XTR version of the GPU. Most likely this one will cost less than the XTR one but it will be somewhat within the same range. You can get the non-XTR version for 8 and 4 GB models, while the XTR one will come together with 8 GB. Moreover, we can see that the series contains a non-Aorus version of the GPU, which will be available with 4 or 8 GB internal memory.
Mid-range
Here we find the RX 570 model in the Radeon RX 500 series. It is also launched under the Aorus branding and it comes in 4 or 8 GB versions. There is another non-Aorus branded version, but this one will only come with 4 GB.
Entry level
This category brings the RX 550 model, which is based on Polaris 12, if we were to believe the leaks that we saw. However, the leaks were right about the RX 550, but we don’t know anything about the RX 560. Even so, the latter should appear sooner or later in order to fill out the gap created between the RX 550 and RX 570.
