A new Google Maps BETA version has been released for Android devices and it comes with new features and options. It seems that the Google Maps 9.51 BETA is focusing on routing and parking.

Keep in mind that this version of the application is only for the people who have registered to the Google Maps BETA program on the Google Play Store.

Google Maps 9.51 BETA: What’s New?

First of all, the new Google Maps 9.51 BETA comes with some indicators that are showing you if there is a on-site parking available or not. In case there is an available spot, free or paid, you will see it inside the application.

This is awesome, because you will be able to see if there are some parking lots at your destination. In case there are no available spots, you will be able to search for a parking place nearby your destination.

Not many know, but Google has been working on the parking feature since the beginning of the year. Well, it seems that the company is getting closer and closer to releasing this feature to the public.

However, until that will happen, the company will probably add an option to it, in order to inform you if that specific parking spot is free or paid. Since this feature is still under development, don’t expect to find the info of all the parking spots.

According to reports, Google is also working on the nearby parking route changes on the Maps application. This means that sometime in the near future, you will be able to set nearby parking as the destination and the application will automatically search for a parking spot and guide you to it directly.

Overall, this update is pretty nice and we’re pretty sure that once the STABLE version will be released, many Google Maps users will be very happy to use the new features and options.
