0

Nexus 6P seems to be a consumer favorite worldwide. However, despite this promising title, many people tend to believe that Google is going to leave this device behind and focus on the Pixel and Pixel XL devices. To contradict them, the company has decided on rolling out the Android 7.1.2 Nougat update for the Nexus 6P.

Update Details

The update is currently being rolled out to Nexus 6P devices. If you own such a device, you can get the Android 7.1.2 update with the help of the OTA (over-the-air) update, according to a report issued by Gigjets. Besides the Nexus 6P, the update will be available for Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel C and Nexus Player. Moreover, this version of the OS is the last feature upgrade that will ever be available for Nexus 6 and Nexus 9.

Features

Naturally, the update brings lots of fixes and feature updates for the Nexus 6P, but it also includes some improvements to the general performance, plus feature updates for the rest of the devices. Among the changes brought by the update, we can notice improvements in connectivity, a better notification stability and an update for the fingerprint swipe, as Gadgets 360 reported.

If you own a Nexus 6P, you will see that the Android 7.1.2 Nougat has a new screen for the battery usage alerts feature, which lets you know which apps are using lots of battery from the device. However, it doesn’t stop here! The update also brings a security update, the latest one in April, which fights the security vulnerabilities.

However, the update does not bring much to the Pixel smartphone. NEO Win has reported that the tech giant will soon release OTA or factory images for the update on the Verizon Pixel and Pixel XL devices.
