0

Nokia 6 was initially released in China back in January for the price of CNY 1699. The good news is that now this device is getting the Android 7.1.1 update. In February, HDM Global reported that there was a global rollout for Nokia 6, but also for the new Nokia 3310, Nokia 3 and Nokia 5.

All of these devices should get the global update until the end of the second quarter of 2017. However, before the global upgrade, Nokia 6 will get the new OS locally, only in China, with the help of an OTA update. Currently, this device runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat OS.

Update Details

The update file weighs around 369 MB and it wears the name 00CN_3_179. It brings users some new features, including shortcut support for the home screen, a new set of updated emojis, some fixes for bugs and many others. But perhaps the most important feature is the fact that it supports 4G/3G dual-SIM dual-standby.

Nokia 6 Specs

Regarding the phone, Nokia 6 is actually a great device. It shows off an aluminum unibody design and, according to the manufacturer, it takes 55 minutes to produce one Nokia 6 device, starting from a block of 6000 series type of aluminum, plus two anodizing processes.

It sports a 5.5 inches full HD display with a 1920×1080 pixels resolution, complete with 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 system protection. Moreover, it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 CPU, paired with an Adreno 505 GPU. It offers 4 GB RAM and you can choose between 32 or 64 GB internal storage, which you can expand with a microSD card up to 128 GB. Naturally, it also has a fingerprint scanner, included in the home button. Lastly, it enjoys a 3000 mAh battery, which is more than decent, plus a 16 MP back camera.
