Samsung Galaxy A5 Gets Android 7.0 Nougat Update Soon
It’s a fact that more and more devices are receiving the newest version of Android, the Android 7.0 Nougat, or its younger brother, the 7.1 Nougat. The good thing is that the newest version of Google’s beloved operating system for smartphones and tablets has also started reaching mid-range devices at an unprecedented pace. And now, the time has come for one of Samsung’s best and most well-loved mid-range smartphone in the Galaxy line to receive Android 7.0 Nougat. We’re talking about the Samsung Galax A5, of course.
The update is now available in Russia, and it’s expected to reach all corners of the globe pretty soon. Android 7.0 Nougat for Samsung Galaxy A5 devices comes under firmware number A510FXXU4CQDK, and it brings an entire array of new features for A5 devices. There is a new design for the notifications section, as well as additional features to improve functionality in this direction. On top of that, split-screen multitasking is now a thing.
As always, if you didn’t receive your update OTA, you might want to check for it in Settings > About Device > Software Update. However, as you may well be aware of, it’s better to let the update be installed naturally on your device, instead of forcing it onto it and installing it yourself. However, if you can’t wait to see how Android 7.0 Nougat looks and performs on your Samsung Galaxy A5, then there’s no harm in checking it out in this way.
Android 7.0 Nougat is expected to roll out to all the devices it’s supported on until the first half of 2017 is over. And judging by the fast pace in which Google is rolling out updates for a wide array of devices, this most certainly will be the case.
