With the new Android 7.0 Nougat update having recently been installed on Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge devices across the globe, it’s now time for Samsung’s older products to receive the update as well. Naturally, not all older models will be compatible with the update. However, Samsung previously confirmed a list of devices both old and new that will be getting the new Android 7.0 Nougat.

Update Now Rolling Out on Samsung Tablets

Other smartphones that have reportedly started receiving the much-expected and sought-after update are the Galaxy Note % and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. However, the Korean tech giant hasn’t forgotten about their most beloved tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2.

As of late, it has been reported that Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S2 has also started receiving the new Android 7.0 Nougat on two particular variants. These are the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7, which is Wi-Fi only and has the SM-T810 model number, and also the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0, which is LTE-enabled and has model number SM-T712.

The update certainly comes with good news for Samsung tablet users worldwide. Devices that have received it now have a new UX, as well as a better and improved Notifications feature. On top of that, the Android update seems to have enhanced the Multi-Window feature as well, which is yet another great upgrade on the Galaxy Tab S2’s overall performance. Tablet users are reportedly very satisfied with the update so far.

However, installing the Android 7.0 Nougat version on other devices has sometimes proved to be quite of a setback, because the update came with quite a bit of nasty bugs. As far as we know until now, the Samsung tablets that have received the update OTA don’t seem to have any problems of the sort. We’ll just have to wait and see how things progress.
