Skype Update Download Available for Windows 10 Mobile
Microsoft has recently released a new updated version for its Skype application for the Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile OSs. The application has just been updated to the new 11.14.662.0 version and it comes with some new improvements to the Notifications.
The Notification Centre will now display all the received messages. Previously, the Notification Centre only displayed the previously received messages and the ones you haven’t read would get lost. Apart from this minor, but useful, addition, the company has also seen fit to release the usual bug fixes that accompany these updates, as well as some performance improvements for the application.
The latest update for the Skype application is only available for Windows Insiders on Fast Ring with the Redstone 3. After some successful feedback and testing the same update will be released to all the other users in the Slow and RP preview. After this, the update will be moving out for the Production Ring.
There has also been recently an update on the way Contacts are displayed. It has been simplified so that your contacts on your Skype will connect with the People application on your device. It will display the number of mutual contacts you share, thus making it a lot easier to find the right people. This setting is completely optional and can be turned on and off on your profile. Besides this, there has been an improvement in the messaging part, where you can search chats, use keyboard shortcuts and send SMS with a little Skype Credit. There is also a new redesign of the Group Video Calling feature and now you can also switch the microphone, camera or the device during the call.
The latest update is live and users are able to download it from Microsoft website.
