WhatsApp 2.17.258 Update Download Available with New GIF and Emoji Features

WhatsApp has been updated; the newest version 2.17.258 is available for Windows Phones and Windows 10 Mobile. The team is constantly updating their software in order to provide their users a good and reliable service. Before launching the update, all these new features have already been tested for bugs and errors.

A Major Update with New Features: GIF and Emoji Search Engines

This new update is major as it brings a lot of features which are available in the Beta version of WhatsApp.

Among the new features, WhatsApp introduces GIF search, users are now able to initiate multiple selection inside the chat list. Sending files and other items has also been improved. In general, WhatsApp developers have done some performance improvements and bug fixes.

Other features such as drawing, adding text and emoji on photos have been preserved. Users are also able to delete messages that they sent from their history of from recipients.

Beta testers are currently testing the emoji search feature. Users are now able to search emoji through a search engine. In order to do so users will have to tap on the button to access the emoji and the bottom left will show a button for searching emoji. For example, if you type ‘pink’, all emoji containing roses will appear.

The beta update can also let users add filters to photos before being sent. The filters are B / N, Cold, Chrome, Movie, None and Pop.

The improved version of WhatsApp also focused on location service, enhancing the app and fixing various issues.
