WhatsApp Download for iOS

0

WhatsApp messenger for iOS is available for iPhone as well as other devices for free. This would use your Internet connection to allow you to message or call your family or friends. Instead of sending via SMS, you can simply use WhatsApp as a favorable medium for sending and receiving calls, messages, photos or videos.

The only problem is that it is only for iPhone and not for iPod Touch or iPad. However, you can still make this work if you do it right via WhatsApp Web. Access the service from the Safari browser for iOS devices.

  • Simply open Safari on your iPad and go to web.whatsapp.com. Once you load the page, you will notice that it has brought you to the WhatsApp page instead.
  • Tap the URL and swipe it down so that you can access the top drawer of favorite menus that would appear as you time the Web address. At this point, you can see an option saying Load desktop site and tap on it.
  • This will reload and display WhatsApp Web interface that would also display the QR code that you can pair with your iPhone. Simply go to Settings > WhatsApp Web and scan the QR code so that you can pair both devices.

By doing that, the page would reload and display the recent messages, photos, videos or voice notes that were sent to you. However, certain limitations might come your way by using this workaround. The first downside is that you will not be able to send voice notes because WhatsApp has not officially supported the browser. Likewise, Web browser is not supported on iOS, so you can’t receive incoming message notifications as you would on a Mac or PC.

If you are going to download WhatsApp for iOS, make sure that your device is compatible. iPhone is the only compatible device you can use running iOS. However, it should be running at least version 7.0 to enjoy the full features of WhatsApp.
