Windows 10 Creators Update Advantages and Things To Do When Getting It

The major annual update for Windows 10 will be made available to the public starting with April 11. However, before you rush to install it as soon as possible, there are some things you should know in order to prepare your device for this change.

Should you do it or not?

This is not really a question, if you should download the Creators Update or not. After all, there are lots of advantages if you do so: it’s a free update, so it costs you nothing, plus it’s good for the security of your system to use the latest version of the OS. The company will still offer security patches for older versions of the OS, but the major update is the simplest way to do so.

However, the update doesn’t consist only in security patches and upgrades. It wears the name Creators Update because it addresses creative people. Preparing for the update

Before installing it, you should make the PC backup you have probably been postponing for quite a while now. Use the Windows Recovery tool, together with a hard drive, and make an offline backup of the system, which you can restore at any point. It’s a good idea to do so in general, but in this case, you can restore this version in case anything goes wrong, instead of losing the entire system. Starting with April 11, Microsoft will send prompts through the Windows system and ask you if you want to install the recent update.
